CTIF Global Capsule Scientist Paulo Sergio Rufino Henrique Presents at the XII IN-Philosophy Festival in Italy 24–26 September 2026.
CTIF Global Capsule scientist Paulo Sergio Rufino Henrique, PhD researcher at the University of Huddersfield under the supervision of Professor Ramjee Prasad and Professor Pavlos I. Lazaridis, will present his latest multidisciplinary work at the XII IN-Philosophy Festival, taking place on the island of Ischia, Italy, from 24–26 September 2026.
Entitled “From Socrates to Chomsky: A Multidisciplinary Inquiry into AI, Cognition, and Intelligence,” the presentation explores the relationship between philosophy, cognition, artificial intelligence, and human intelligence, bringing together perspectives from different disciplines to examine how the concept of intelligence has evolved from classical philosophy to contemporary AI.
The presentation reflects the interdisciplinary approach of Paulo’s doctoral research, extending the discussion beyond technology and engineering to consider the philosophical and cognitive foundations of intelligent systems.
The English-language sessions of the Festival will take place on 25 and 26 September at Villa La Colombaia, while the Festival will officially open on 24 September with an inaugural lecture at La Mortella Gardens.
