Solutions Specialist in HPC and Quantum Computing integration Robert W. Bakyayita was at the CONASENSE Brainstorming Workshop in Munich on 18 September, hosted by fortiss represented by Rute C. Sofia , and River Publishers by Dr. Paulo Sergio Rufino Henrique and CTIF Global Capsule represented by Prof. Ramjee Prasad
CONASENSE is a 6G research network of about 80 members, founded in 2011. The day set its direction for 2027, with partner talks from India, Brazil and Africa.
Robert W. Bakyayita presented quantum work across Africa. He worked on quantum–HPC integration at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre in Munich and coordinates Uganda for AQC. Two things from the day are open to African researchers now:
- Quantum is one of CONASENSE’s four workstreams for 2027, with a joint paper going to the Quantum Information Technologies Journal.
- The journal publishes with no article fee for its first two years. A call for papers is coming.
AQC works with CONASENSE in Africa.
