During week 4, the students had the chance to embark on two notable business visits. The first stop was at Bang & Olufsen in Struer, a renowned Danish company specializing in high-end consumer electronics. Established in 1925, Bang & Olufsen designs and manufactures a range of audio products, television sets, and telephones. CGC expresses its gratitude to Sagar Faujdar for guiding the summer school students during their visit to the business.
The second visit was to the renowned the LEGO Group, a Danish company specializing in construction toys and located in Billund. LEGO not only produces toys under its brand but has also established several Legoland amusement parks worldwide and runs numerous retail stores. The students had the chance to explore the automation and machinery section, gaining valuable insights into the production process. To top it off, LEGO graciously organized a lunch for all the students, making the visit even more memorable. CGC extends sincere gratitude to Pooja Karkare for her efforts in organizing this arrangement and for educating the students about Lego.
During week 4, students attended more in-depth theoretical lectures on the MBMI concept with Prof Peter Lindgren, while also engaging in practical exercises with the BMI tools tailored to their specific industry cases.
